Rural health houses are the most peripheral units for delivering health services in the country's health and treatment network. They are responsible for:

·         Public health training

·         Forming local volunteer groups

·         Family planning

·         Nutritional advise and supervision

·         Schools health

·         Oral and dental health

·         Immunization programs

·         Occupational health services

·         Rural public environment health

·         Offering first aid and following up patient treatment

·         Treating certain diseases according to Multi-step Algorithmic Protocols (MAP)

·         Annual census-taking and data registry
