Regional Meeting of World Federation of Medical Education at IUMS

The regional meeting of World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) was held on May 22 at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) with the President of WFME, Professor Ricardo Leon-Borquez, and Dr. Shahin Shirani, the Chancellor of IUMS. Other attendees included Ms. Jana Cohlova, the Recognition Program Project Manager of WFME, Dr. Gohar Wajid, the WHO representative in the World Federation of Medical Education, and Professors from the Universities of Tehran, Shiraz and Yazd.

In this meeting, which was held with the aim of providing a platform for scientific exchanges between WFME and the universities of the region, Dr. Shirani, introduced the capacities of IUMS in various educational fields, as well as the integration of education and research in health and treatment procedures and the institutional accreditation.

Also, the institution's accreditation report was presented by Dr. Yamani, the Director of the Medical Education Research Center of the university; and the monitoring report was presented by the team of the General Medical Secretariat.
